Need ideas...

I found these adorable reindeer at HL and then found super awesome snowflakes tonight at Target, so I need ideas on what to do with them. I found someone's blog that put ideas for the reindeer, but I didn't bookmark it and now I can't find it! Grrrr....don't you hate it when that happens? Do you know of the blog?
If you leave me a comment with ideas, I could send a lucky someone a few of these! I'll draw on December 12th. Thanks.

Thanksgiving Tablescape - my first try

I have been creeping on other blogs for about 3 weeks now and am so amazed by the stuff I have learned in such a small amount of time! Thank you bloggers, I have been trying to link back to all the blogs so I can officially "follow" but I am doing baby steps with this...so bare with me.
I was on Thriftydecorchick's site CLICK HERE where she had a fabulous tablescape and her centerpiece reminded me that I had fabric covered cylinders hiding in my closet from back when I lived in an apartment...so I dug them out, dusted them off - and presto I had inspiration to make my very first tablescape. It's not much, but its first effort. We are having 11 people over on Thursday, so I'm going to expand the centerpiece, etc. with some more chotskies (ha ha...I had to spell check that word and it said definition: general useless crap!) too funny.

Change of Subject Matter

Now that I have made a separate blog of my family life, I am going to use this one to fulfill my new found interest in other bloggers, cooking ideas, decorating, crafts and a whole lot of support from the other wonderful, beautiful bloggers out there to be the best wife and mother I can be.

Separate blog

I don't know how this is all going to work out, so I went ahead and made a separate blog for Luke's daily (eventually weekly, I'm sure) pictures. This way, we can highlight more of the family stuff on here and focus primarily on Luke on the other one.

Baby Luke is here!

I have way more I want to write but I am sooooo busy right now that I can't sit down and write it all out - although Morgan said I really need to do that so I have it for later because my head will continue spinning.

I went into labor on Friday night - my water broke at 1;30am Saturday morning. We had Luke at 5pm a la c-section, which I could have had him much earlier, but I pushed for 3.25 hours because I really didn't want one. After all is said and done, he could have been born about noon and all would have been fine, but oh well. C-sections are okay. I healed really quick from them and was up moving around walking by myself by Sunday afternoon.

Life is so wonderful with Luke. He is the best baby and so precious. Tim and I are both so happy he is here. Will post more later.

I probably have a million photos I could post on here, but I haven't uploaded any of them. I had a shower on July 12th - which I wrote about last time and need to put the cake on here cause it was so cute....then we've worked on the nursery more, so I have those pictures. We also had some other fun events, but the latest this weekend was - "oh, honey, it's the last weekend before my due date, why don't we have a quiet weekend?" HOWEVER - this is not in real Tim & Michelle style - so what did we do you ask?
Well, since the Air Conditioner condensate drain backed up and water came into our bedroom soaking the wall, carpet and master bath -we said - why don't we redo our room. Off to Home Depot, 3 cans of paint later - a la Sandstone Cove (a creamy light beige), Rainwashed (a soft, gloomy blue) and Bison Brown (rich chocolately color) - we repainted (and re-textured the bath) our entire Master Bedroom/Bathroom. It looks so fantastic, and Tim's family came to help a great deal - because we re-painted the ceiling too....so I have to post pictures!
My due date is officially two days away and tonight Tim had a double header for softball (in the 105 degree heat no less) but all is well and life is just patiently waiting on the baby.
Mom gets here on Thursday! Woo hoo!

Hot Pocket! Baby Pocket!

Tim & I had a great weekend! First, I had a shower with my close friends at Stephanie's house. It was nice to have time with my great friends and we played some great games. I think I feel fully stocked for the baby - at least for now.

After the shower we headed to Midwest City where Jim Gaffigan was performing at Rose State College. His act was absolutely hilarious and although I laughed a lot, it didn't trigger labor or anything, so that's good. After the show, he always has a meet & greet with everyone. It was way crowded, so Tim & I agreed to head back after his 2nd show and that way we could be first on line. So here we are meeting with Jim. It was so great!
